Contents of the Management Teams & Leadership module
This module is built around three topics that form the foundation of an effective management team (MT):
MT role: a properly functioning MT knows what it needs to do. Clarity on its role makes it easier for the team to function. A team must strike a balance between the interests of the members and the interests of the organization. You’ll be challenged to clearly define the tasks that your MT must fulfill and where you can test your picture against that of your colleagues.
MT effectiveness: the members of an effective MT are well attuned to one another. Not only do they have good processes and procedures, such as for decision-making, they also know what to expect from each other. They are familiar with each other’s talents, skills, preferences and sensibilities. They have also reached effective working arrangements. What about your MT? For instance, what working arrangements are in place, and how well are they working? What else is still needed?
Leadership: You’ll be challenged to reflect on your leadership. Where are you in the game? Where do your loyalties lie? Are you setting a good example? How is your relationship with your MT colleagues? And what could you do to improve it? In what areas do you need to develop to become a more effective MT member? In short, what can you do to bring out the best in the MT?

How and what you’ll learn
The program offers relevant insights and practical lessons from:
- The science on cooperation in management teams
- Experts who’ve earned their stripes in the field
- A lifelike simulation (experience-based learning)
The program introduces and integrates this approach step by step and translates it into your own working environment with reflection exercises and consultations with fellow participants. Thus, it is a varied program supported by a diverse team of lecturers. The core lecturer is responsible for the common thread running through it all. The program is based on a clear theoretical framework, and is tailored to your personal work situation.
