Part-time Master of Business valuation (MBV) in brief
The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation (MBV) consists of seperate modules. These are spread over a period of 15 months. At the beginning of each module you will have 4 weeks to learn online. After this preparation, you will follow interactive meetings and lectures for 3 days.
Instead of the Master of Business Valuation (MBV) you can also choose the Business Valuation Program (BVP). You then follow 7 modules of the Master of Business Valuation. This program is also accredited by the NIRV and offers the possibility to apply for the title of Register Valuator.
Set-up part-time master’s program MBV
The Executive Master of Business Valuation consists of the following modules:
- Principles of Business Valuation
- Quantitative Tools for Financial Management
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Behavioral Finance
- International Risk Management
- Advanced Valuation
- Valuing Private Companies, part 1
- Valuing Private Companies, part 2
- Corporate Finance
- Elective course: Financial Data Analytics / Mergers & Acquisitions
- Elective course: Management Accounting / Real Estate Finance
- Optional:Tax law
You conclude the program by writing a Valuation Report, based on a real-life case. This report includes an Academic Chapter.
Executive Business Valuation Program
Besides the Executive Master of Business Valuation, TIAS also offers the Executive Business Valuation Program. The Business Valuation Program contains 7 of the 11 modules, which suffice to obtain the title Register Valuator. The emphasis is on valuation practice, especially to determine the value of listed companies. This means that you do not have to follow the modules Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring, Advanced Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Finance. You may also omit the Academic Chapter in your Valuation Report.
Flexibility
The set-up of the part-time Master of Business Valuation (MBV) is flexible: you can complete the program over a longer period than the indicated 15 months. In addition, you can opt to follow only the modules that are relevant to you. The program commences twice a year.

Result: master title (MSc or MBV) and Register Valuator (RV)
After successful completion of this master's program, you can choose between the prestigious title of Master of Business Valuation (MBV) or the internationally recognized academic title of Master of Science (MSc). The program is accredited by the NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders).
The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation is also accredited by the Netherlands Institute for Registered Valuators (NIRV). In order to use the title of Register Valuator (RV), you must complete the program, successfully defend your Valuation Report, and complete the NIRV assessment.
