The part-time Master of Business Valuation (MBV) of TIAS is a complete and flexible program with a broad approach to business valuation. You will be immersed in the financial markets, business and tax legislation, venture capital financing, IPOs of companies, the valuation of non-listed and listed companies and the use of real options in valuation. Flexibility

The set-up of the part-time Master of Business Valuation (MBV) is flexible: you can complete the program over a longer period than the indicated 15 months. Also, you can choose to follow only the modules that are relevant to you. The program commences twice a year.

Admission requirements

We aim for participants with a lot of talent, experience and potential. That is why we apply admission requirements. In this way, we guarantee education at the highest level. What we ask:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least three years' professional experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in valuing public and private companies or investment projects
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • If applicable, successful completion of the required components of the premaster.

Business Valuation Program

Besides the Executive Master of Business Valuation, TIAS also offers the Business Valuation Program. The Business Valuation Program contains 7 of the 11 modules, which suffice to obtain the title Register Valuator. The emphasis is on valuation practice, especially to determine the value of non-listed and listed companies. This means that you do not have to follow the modules Behavioral Finance, International Risk Management, Advanced Valuation en Corporate Finance. You may also omit the Academic Chapter in your Valuation Report.

Participants in the Executive Master of Business Valuation are offered the following flexible options:

  • Opt to follow the entire master or individual modules
  • Choose yourself when you start: the program has several starting moments per year
  • Choose to spread out the program over a longer period of time, when desired

 

Part-time Master of Business valuation (MBV) in brief

The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation (MBV) consists of seperate modules. These are spread over a period of 15 months. At the beginning of each module you will have 4 weeks to learn online. After this preparation, you will follow interactive meetings and lectures for 3 days. 

Instead of the Master of Business Valuation (MBV) you can also choose the Business Valuation Program (BVP). You then follow 7 modules of the Master of Business Valuation. This program is also accredited by the NIRV and offers the possibility to apply for the title of Register Valuator.

  • Quantitative Tools for Financial Management
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Behavioral Finance 
  • International Risk Management
  • Advanced Valuation
  • Valuing Private Companies, part 1
  • Valuing Private Companies, part 2
  • Corporate Finance
  • Elective course: Financial Data Analytics / Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Elective course: Management Accounting / Real Estate Finance
  • Optional:Tax law
    You conclude the program by writing a Valuation Report, based on a real-life case. This report includes an Academic Chapter.

    Executive Business Valuation Program

    Result: master title (MSc or MBV) and Register Valuator (RV)

    After successful completion of this master's program, you can choose between the prestigious title of Master of Business Valuation (MBV) or the internationally recognized academic title of Master of Science (MSc). The program is accredited by the NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders).

    The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation is also accredited by the Netherlands Institute for Registered Valuators (NIRV). In order to use the title of Register Valuator (RV), you must complete the program, successfully defend your Valuation Report, and complete the NIRV assessment.

    It is possible to start quickly with theTIAS Premaster (in Dutch) due to the various start and entry moments of this program. We also offer an English-taught Online Premaster which allows you to start immediately after enrollment. Customized tracks are also available if needed.     Business Valuation Program

    Besides the Master of Business Valuation (MBV), TIAS also offers the certificate for the Business Valuation Program. You then follow 7 of the 11 modules and write a Valuation Report without an Academic Chapter.

    Have you already obtained a Master in Finance?

    Then you are eligible for a shortened MBV master program. This program consists of 3 modules and a thesis. The fee for this program is € 11000.

    Following your enrollment, the Executive Master of Business Valuation (MBV) Program Adviser will reach out to you for an initial introduction and to schedule an intake meeting with the Academic Director. The purpose of this intake is to discuss your development ambitions and the match with the learning objectives of the program.
