Healthcare with vision. Transformation with AI.

Healthcare is changing dramatically. The pressure on personnel is increasing, the complexity of healthcare requests is growing, and the need for collaboration is growing.  In this dynamic, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not an experiment, but a strategic tool that - if carefully deployed - can contribute to easing healthcare tasks and strengthening agility in healthcare.

In this program, you will discover how AI and digital transformation come together in strategy, leadership, decision-making and implementation. On that cutting edge, you will learn to interpret technological developments, give them direction and apply them within your own organization.

Whether you are a healthcare professional, (innovation) manager, medical specialist or policy maker: this program offers you the insights, the network and the practical tools to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare and/or in your (healthcare) organization, with AI as a catalyst.

They work in hospitals, primary care, mental health, elderly care or long-term care, or in supporting sectors such as health insurers, governments or consulting.

Typical positions include:

  • Innovation manager
  • Director
  • Senior manager
  • ICT manager
  • CMIO or CNIO
  • Strategic advisor

For example, they work on:

  • Digital transformation of processes and healthcare pathways

From overwhelming technology to focused transformation.

Technological capabilities in healthcare are exponentially growing. AI is rapidly evolving from experimental application to strategic pillar in healthcare organizations. AI plays a role in more and more existing digital applications, from automated monitoring to personalized healthcare advice. At the same time, new AI-driven start-ups are emerging almost daily to question, inspire and try to innovate the healthcare market.

As opportunities grow, so does the need for direction. The challenge is not just to choose, but more importantly, how do you recognize where and in what ways technology actually adds value? And how do you ensure that AI does not just solve short-term problems, but contributes to sustainable improvement in healthcare?

In this program, you will investigate how to use AI and digital technology for structural change in healthcare. You will learn not only to recognize opportunities, but also to analyze underlying issues - from change management, financing, ethics, and laws and regulations. Our experts provide you with insights and frameworks from science and practice, and help you translate them into your own organizational context. You will sharpen your ability to make choices about what works, why and for whom - and develop the strategic thinking and capability needed to actually get digital innovation off the ground.

Upon completion:

  • You can guide digital transformation in healthcare, with AI as both an accelerator and as part of broader organizational renewal.
  • You will be able to use AI and other digital applications purposefully to strengthen strategy, processes and decision-making - with an eye for long-term impact.
  • Recognize the success and failure factors of digital transformation in complex healthcare organizations, and know how to manage for support, skills and structure.
  • You will be able to analyze and prioritize innovation issues, and know where technology adds real value based on data, context and power to change.
  • You have insight into the social, ethical and organizational dimensions of digital healthcare innovation - from ownership of data to public value.
  • You are able to bring people and departments along with you in change, and to not only start, but also implement and scale up digital initiatives.

Contents of the Advanced Program AI & Digital Transformation in Healthcare

Central to this program is the question:

“How do I deploy AI and digital transformation to sustainably strengthen my organization and healthcare as a whole?”

In five days - two blocks of two consecutive days and a concluding project day - you will work step by step toward your own answer to that question. For yourself, your organization and the greater whole.

How do we do that?

The development of AI is proceeding at an unprecedented pace. The newest insights are often not yet reflected in scientific publications. Therefore, in this program we combine a solid academic basis with current practical experience.

You will learn from a carefully selected group of experts who are at the forefront of AI and digital transformation. In interactive lectures they do not offer a retrospective of what is already known, but together we explore what is emerging now.

What topics will be the focus of the next edition (December 2025)?

Each day offers a combination of perspectives. By bringing different topics together, we challenge you to make connections between strategy and execution, technology and organization, people and system.
