Sietske has a background as a medical specialist. She worked as a radiologist for 7 years in various hospitals before fully dedicating herself to her current work, which focuses on improving conditions for healthcare workers. During her training as a radiologist at OLVG, she participated in several national projects on medical leadership and completed multiple courses and programs, including at TIAS.
For the medical journal Medisch Contact, she created the podcast series "Getting Better with Roos&Rozie" on HR and leadership in healthcare in 2022-2023. She is a trainer at Roos&Rozie, where she organizes masterclasses on personal leadership and medical management for medical specialists.
She is a frequently requested AI speaker and in her lectures, she highlights the role of healthcare professionals in the development and use of AI in healthcare and the importance of AI literacy.
Since 2019, Sietske has been working with and/or for TIAS and is currently the Academic Director of the advanced program “Digital Innovations in Healthcare,” in which she will also give a lecture on the responsible use of AI (Artificial Intelligence). She is the author of the book chapter “Data Science and AI in Healthcare” in the book “Care for Transition.”
Additionally, she is an advisor and trainer in behavior change within the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport project “Informative Secure Behavior in Healthcare” on cybersecurity, which is carried out by ECP I platform for the information society.
Sietske is currently working on an innovation project that explores how AI can be used in healthcare to promote sustainable employability and reduce the unwanted turnover of young healthcare professionals.
