Joy van der Veer named 2015 Business Valuator

Joy van der Veer was named Business Valuator of the Year at the 2015 Annual Conference Fusies & Overname (Mergers & Acquisitions). It is a great honor for the core teacher and program director of the Master of Business Valuation of TIAS School for Business and Society. Van der Veer teaches various courses in in the area of corporate finance and business valuation.
Van der Veer is known as a technical valuator and owes this award to his expertise as a valuation expert in various dossiers in 2014/2015. "This is a real token of appreciation from my colleague valuators. At TIAS, Prof. Dr. Frans de Roon and I do research into complex valuation issues. I share this knowledge with my students and apply it in practice. I therefore consider this award as a recognition for the program," says Joy.
He studied business economics and accounting and worked as a public accountant for a considerable time. Upon completion of a postgraduate register valuator program, he specialized in business valuation of non-listed companies. Van der Veer currently participates in the PhD/DBA program at TIAS.
Joy van der Veer works at Van Baerle Newbolt and is a member of the SRA (organization of independent public accounting firms in the Netherlands) and the NIRV (professional association for register valuators in the Netherlands). In addition to his role as a core teacher at SRA and TIAS, his services as a valuation expert are also called upon internationally.
