A year at TIAS: Starting a career in The Netherlands
May 2, 2019 | 1 min read
After working for several years, I planned to study further in business. The Business Analytics track from TIAS caught my eye. Having a taste of a lesson at TIAS, I made my mind to study here.
The course schedule at TIAS is different from other schools. We have one-week full day course, then one week for assignments. Between two courses, we have all kinds of soft-skills courses such as Networking, Interview Skills, Effective Communication etc., which is really helpful to train us to enter the professional world.
TIAS students are quite balanced, half Dutch and half international students, so I gain more understanding of the Dutch culture and also other countries. I have been with two teams, working with classmates from India, Italy, Vietnam, Netherlands, Brazil and Greece. Teamwork is very challenging, but I can really learn a lot from my classmates from different cultural- and academic backgrounds. Furthermore, I can also handle conflicts in a better way.
Looking back at the sleepless nights for the deadline and the frustration, I am both proud of myself and grateful for being one of the members at TIAS. Thanks to all the awesome people I met at TIAS, without all your help I could not become a better person. Coming to TIAS is one of the best choices that I have ever made in my life! Right now, I am at the end of the program, I am looking forward to start a new phase in the Netherlands.
