A year at TIAS: my experience at TIAS
December 6, 2018 | 1 min read
Hello everyone, first of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Max, I’ve got a Dutch nationality and a background as Industrial Engineer. For me it was a tough decision whether to pursue my engineering career or to choose for a more commercial type of future.
After an exhaustive year of taking part in a premaster program at another University and studying independently for three months to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) I still wasn’t convinced which choice I needed to make. At this moment, I unintentionally stumbled onto TIAS. After visiting an information session at TIAS in its new establishment in Utrecht, both my parents and I were convinced that going to TIAS was the right decision. That is when I settled for the MSc. in Business Administration with Business Analytics as specialisation, so that my engineering background would give me an extra competitive edge. For my future outlook this seemed like the best choice to make: graduating from the best business school of the Netherlands to give my career a gigantic boost.
After enrolling in the program, meeting my fellow classmates and experiencing the lectures from experienced, international professors I knew this was going to be a very interesting and exciting year filled with all kinds of opportunities. With opportunities I mean the possibility to expand your professional network, develop hard and soft skills, gain experience in the business world, visit leading companies, travel and many more.
