Authors of a scientific background and from actual practice
The Yearbook Corporate Governance contains articles relating to business economics, legal affairs, business ethics and organizational aspects. Various authors, of both a scientific background as well as from actual practice, describe a diversity of present-day themes, including: the building blocks of corporate governance, the formal governance in banks, the suitability test and remuneration policy of financial companies, narcissism within the board, board evaluations, the role of the SB in implementing protective measures, lessons to be learned by administrators and supervisors from recent case law, pension fund governance, developments in the stockholders season, corruption and governance, the role of the accountant, high-tech crime, external supervision and the increasing number of executive committees.
The book is to be presented during a meeting on 27 November to Prof. Dr. Jaap van Manen, chairman of the Monitoring Committee Corporate Governance Code. Van Manen will then give a lecture. And a panel consisting of Jan Nooitgedagt, Karin Dorrepaal and Heleen Kersten will discuss the various themes. The results of a questionnaire among CEOs are to also be presented during this meeting.
