Why aren't there more women at the top?

Ask Justice Minister Ard van der Steur about the target figure for women. After all, it was his ministry that drafted the law. Mijntje Lückerath comments on Female Board Index published on September 4.

Last Friday, September 4, I published the ninth annual Female Board Index. It shows, among other things, that none of the 84 listed companies comply with the statutory target of at least 30% women on executive boards and supervisory boards. This target figure was recorded in the Management and Supervision Act on January 1, 2013, and should be reached by January 1, 2016.
