AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – has recently decided to extend the accreditation for the management programs of the TIAS School for Business and Society for a period of five years. TIAS, as the business school of Tilburg University, has an AACSB accreditation since 2012.
Thanks to this new accreditation, TIAS will continue to form a part of the select group of business schools that has this most important international accreditation. The accreditation confirms that TIAS management education and research meets the highest quality standards.
Our strong points
'The Continuous Improvement Review Committee was very impressed by our open and innovative educational structure,' says TIAS dean and director, Kees Koedijk. 'They especially praised our innovative knowledge labs, which closely collaborate with industry and the government. They were also very impressed with our innovative and inspiring marketing, which connects well with our engagement in business and society. In conclusion, AACSB is very positive about our after-care, the active aid we offer alumni who are seeking opportunities to further develop their career.'
The AACSB accreditation is the highest attainable recognition for a business school. Koedijk: 'It means recognition of the quality that we want to offer our participants every day. It enables them to follow an optimal development, build an extensive network and to make the difference in business and society after graduating.'
The AACSB survey took place at the start of 2017. Besides TIAS, the committee also visited and accredited TiSEM. Just as in 2012.
