EuroCIO develops European educational program on Enterprise Architecture

In these tough times, organizations need to create innovative and cost-effective business designs. This needs a rare and specialized expertise. The role of the enterprise architect requires a wide knowledge of the business and of the opportunities that arise from an innovative use of information technology.
EuroCIO teamed up with four business schools to develop a unique pan-European that gives enterprise architects real insights into how architectural expertise guides the transformation of an organization.
Many Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF®, include Business Architecture as a subset. The Professional Program in Business & Enterprise Architecture takes the widest, business-driven view of the architect role. Business & Enterprise Architecture encompasses business and operating models, capabilities, organizational design and leadership styles as well as process, information and technology architectures.
Four European business schools
The program is driven by business schools from different locations in Europe. It combines innovative content and best practices from Ecole Centrale Paris Henley Business School, TiasNimbas Business School and TU München, who have vast experience in educating professionals and executives in both business and IT topics.

Influence by CIOs and enterprise architects
The program design has been strongly influenced by CIOs and enterprise architects working for top multi-national companies such as Daimler, Alcatel Lucent and Bayer. The first cohort started September 2012. Due to the success of this first run, existing customers have already committed multiple participants to the next cohort starting April 2014.
This program is part-time with assignments designed to maximize the practical benefits to organizations. It comprises 9 modules of 4 days and is scheduled over about 18 months.
