MBA New Year's Event - Save the Date!

For the fourth year in a row we will hold the MBA New Year’s Event

Details and Program

For the fourth year in a row we will hold the MBA New Year’s Event, this year on Friday, 25 January 2019. Each year more and more MBA alumni join this fantastic event to start off the new year together - don't miss it!

This year we plan the reunion on a Friday evening so that MBA alumni and students have more time together, alumni living abroad can travel in for the event and make plans with fellow classmates for the weekend.  With reservation code TIL-GF812, you can book a hotelroom at the reduced rate of € 99, - including VAT, excluding breakfast (€ 14,50) and tourist tax. These prizes are open until one month before the event. After 25 December 2018 this rate will be closed and only the normal rate can be reserved.

Every year MBA alumni inform us that they would like to hear from prof. Carla Koen again, so we expect you will be happy to learn she is the keynote speaker at this year's event.

After the keynote and an interactive debate, there will be an opportunity to catch up with fellow classmates and to broaden your network with other MBA alumni and students. There will be lots of food and drinks.

Program:
16.00 hrs Registration and welcome drinks
16.30 hrs Word of welcome and introduction by MBA Academic Director, Prof. Eric Dooms
16.45 hrs Presentation
18.30 hrs Dinner and Networking
21.00 hrs Closing time

Details:
The session consists of a brief introductory presentation by Carla Koen followed by debate between alumni, students and guest speakers. One of the guest speakers is Brecht De Roo, Sustainability Director – Food Waste at Cargill

During the session we look at globalization and digitization as major forces driving change and innovation in all sectors of the economy. Sustainability pressures, while urgent and hard to deny, are only starting to find their way on the agenda of business leaders. Moreover, speed is lacking in the initiation and execution of sustainability projects.
During this session we will approach sustainability issues based on three questions:
1. What is the best starting point to drive successfully sustainability through the organization and its supply chain?
2. How does one gain traction and speed – both in the organization and the market?
3. How do we ensure that sustainability issues are addressed in innovation projects?

We look forward to seeing you at the Van der Valk Hotel in Tilburg on 25 January 2019!
