In recent years, sustainability has enjoyed strong momentum. However, corporate sustainability transformations are now increasingly facing headwinds and anti-ESG sentiments. Questions are being raised about the actual value created, accusations of greenwashing are emerging, legislation and reporting requirements are being diluted or delayed, and there is a growing politicization and legal confrontation between proponents and opponents.
But when the wind turns against you, you have to pedal harder! A more robust, integrated strategy, a sharper business case rationale, and effective, efficient implementation are the answers to these counterforces.
In this TIAS Elevate Session (which will be held in Dutch), you will learn how an integrated sustainable business strategy can form the foundation for genuine, long-term, multiple value creation — while remaining competitive. You will also discover how practical implementation frameworks can firmly anchor this strategy within your organization.

About this TIAS Elevate Session
During this session, Menno Maas will share concrete tools for developing a robust, sustainable business strategy — one in which sustainability is not treated as a side issue but is fully integrated into the very heart of the business. In this approach, purpose, market scope, processes, organization, and capabilities form a single, coherent whole, aimed at achieving long-term, multiple value creation.
Once the strategic direction and business rationale are clear, the next challenge emerges: how do we translate this strategy into effective and efficient execution? Is a cultural shift enough, or is more required? In his contribution, Bart Dierynck will provide practical implementation frameworks that participants can directly apply within their own organizations to successfully realize their sustainable strategy.
- Gain valuable insights into the building blocks of long-term, multiple value creation.
- Discover innovative value concepts related to societal impact.
- Learn how to effectively connect strategy formulation and implementation.
