Biography

Until 2012 professor Mouwen was affiliated with TIAS and Eindhoven University of Technology, since 2005 as Academic Director of the Executive Master in Public and Non-Profit Management (MPM) and the invitational programme: Strategy, Innovation and Governance (SiG). He has been Professor of Strategy and Governance for the Non-Profit Sector from 2001 until 2012.

From 1994 to 2005 he was a member of the executive board of Tilburg University and the vice chairman since 1999. He has worked several years in various directional and administrative positions in higher education. He is chairman of the supervisory board of a large institution for health care and the IVA -institute for Policy Research and Consultancy. He studied Strategy and Innovation at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University. In 1992 he was appointed Visiting Professor at Glasgow University, where he taught, until 2001, Strategy and Innovation in non-profit institutions. He is also the founder of the Center for the Management of Public Enterprise (CBMO).
