Biography

Drs. ing. Gerko Baarslag (1970) is interim CIO and guides organizations in complex IT transitions. He regularly publishes and presents on topics related to complex IT transitions. 

Gerko studied sociology at the University of Amsterdam. After his studies, he was end responsible for global IT projects at PwC.

From 2000-2006 he was responsible for IT at Ziggo. Until 2010 he was Director of IT at Eneco. Under his responsibility several complex implementation and change projects have been realized, as the centralization of the ICT activities within, the unbundling of 450 applications and a 30% cost reduction programme.

From 2006-2010 Gerko was leading as interim CIO complex IT transitions at several companies. From 2010-2014 he was Global CIO for Fugro NV. 

Currently Gerko is Member of Executive Committee and CIO at PGGM NV.
