Biography

Prof.dr. F.W. Vlotman (1946) has been Professor of Management Accounting at Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TISEM) at Tilburg University. At this university, Vlotman founded the post-doctoral study of Register Controller (RC). He still coöperates to this and other RC and Executive Master in Finance and Control (EMFC) programmes, eventhough he is retired since 2009.

From 1985 to 1993 Vlotman was professor at Nyenrode University, Breukelen, the Netherlands. He started his academic carreer as scientific staff member at VU University Amsterdam. Here he obtained his PhD with guidance of Prof.dr. L. Traas and Prof.dr.ir. A. Twijnstra.

Vlotman has written over 180 articles, contributions to handbooks, encyclopedia's and has published some books on financial-economic management.

Since his retirement in 2009 Vlotman provides guest lectures at the postdoctoral programme RC/EMFC of TIAS School for Busines and Society (in Tilburg and Utrecht) and of Groningen University
