UN PRI: The honeymoon is over, what lies ahead?
November 14, 2011 | 1 min read
In this interview, recorded at the ESG Europe 2011 conference, Engshuber talks about what he considers to be a success ten years from now: “In ten years ESG [Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance] should be mainstream and a major driver of consideration.”
Moving along signatories
Nearly thousand asset owners, investment managers and service partners have signed the UN PRI, which consists of six principles in the field of ESG. These signatories report on the extent to which they implement the principles and they fund the UN PRI by paying subscription fees.
Engshuber talks about the different kind of signatories of UN PRI: “We have a leading edge group and we want them to have a major impact. But we also have a lot of signatories who are just starting.” Engschuber outlines his goal: “In the end we want to bring everybody together and move them along.”
