Introduction

In this part-time master's program MOS, you will learn the latest theories, techniques and skills to successfully define and implement the strategy for the operation or logistics of your company. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the social impact of the company are discussed as well. Since leadership skills are absolutely essential to bring about change in an organization, the program also serves as a platform for peer-to-peer coaching and reflection. In this way, you will learn to be an effective leader within your organization.

About this program

The Executive Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS) consists of 12 modules that are concluded with writing a paper. These are spread, at a minimum, over a period of 12 months. After this period, you complete your thesis within 8 months. At the beginning of each module, you get 4 weeks for online learning. This preparation, is followed by 3 days of interactive meetings and lectures. The study load for this part-time MOS master's program is 12-15 hours per week.

Your flexibility

The set-up of the part-time Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS) is flexible: you can complete the program over a longer period than the indicated 12 months. Also, you can choose to follow only the modules that are relevant to you. The program commences twice per year.

This part-time master's program MOS is concluded with a master's thesis that focuses on a current issue in operations or supply chains in your own organization.

Business Research Methods

Business Research Methods (BRM) is part of your Master's degree. This module will help you make better decisions in situations where a solution to a problem is not immediately obvious because you are missing some of the information. 

For students doing an entire Master's program at TIAS, both BRM modules are mandatory. We recommend doing BRM I at the start of your Master's and BRM II at the start of your thesis. Talk to your Program Adviser about the best time to schedule BRM I into your personal learning path.

Result: international master's degree (MSc)

After successful completion of the entire MOS master's program, you will receive the title of Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS). This program is accredited by the NVAO (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization). You may therefore choose to use the internationally recognized MSc title.

Executive Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management

The complete master's program consists of 12 modules, two modules of Business Research Methods (I + II) and a master's thesis.

The costs amount to €36,500 for the entire master (exempt from VAT) / € 3500 per module.

This price includes:

  • Day packages (lunch, coffee/tea and soft drinks) during college days
  • Registration and administration costs
  • Access to the online learning environment
  • Mandatory literature, textbooks and teaching materials

Possible additional costs:

  • Dinners and overnight stays
  • Travel and accommodation costs during the study trip
  • Premaster (modules), if necessary (€ 400 - € 1600)**
  • Software licenses (if specific software is required)

** During your application, the Admissions and Assessment Committee will determine which premaster modules are required.
