Ron Meyer gives lecture on innovation in MOOC
September 18, 2014
Prof. Dr. Ron Meyer is one of the professors to contribute to the MOOC (massive open on-line course) called ‘Solution and Innovation’ of the Digital School of Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Participants in this 10-week MOOC learn how they can develop and implement new ideas. The MOOC is in the English language.
The original idea of the on-line course is that everyone is potentially capable of systematically developing and implementing innovations. Participants learn special techniques to that end, while acquiring skills with which to tackle complex problems. The concept of the course is based on the latest research results obtained in the project ‘LLLightinEurope.’
The MOOC consists of video’s and contributions from professors and experts from the business community. Academic articles and examples from practice are used to elaborate on the contents. Participants who successfully complete the on-line course will receive a certificate of the university and 5 ECTS. An on-line test before and after the course is to demonstrate what the participants have learned in concrete terms.
The MOOC is offered in co-operation with the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen and the European research project ‘LLLigthinEurope’. In addition to Meyer, who is associated with TIAS, lectures are also given by professors from the Harvard Business School, the MIT LAB, Harvard Kennedy School, University of Luxembourg and the Wageningen University.
