Why this program

As an operations or supply chain manager, you must continuously respond to rapid changes in the supply chain and logistics. Developments in areas such as globalization, digitization, and sustainability are creating new challenges. With the part-time Executive Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS), you can ensure that you are up to date with the latest models and insights.

What will the program bring you?

Up-to-date knowledge of design and control: you work with the latest models for design, planning, control, and improvement of operations and supply chains, based on the latest insights in the field.

End-to-end chain insight: you can clearly see how operations and supply chain relate to purchasing, marketing, finance, data, and other areas, and where in the chain you are losing value or can add value.

Strong operations and supply chain strategy: you develop and substantiate a course that is in line with globalization, digitization, scarcity, and sustainability in your market.

Operational excellence in your organization: you translate analyses into concrete improvement initiatives that have an impact on service, costs, reliability, and—where relevant—CO₂ footprint.

About this program

The Executive Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS) consists of 12 modules that are concluded with the writing of a paper. These are spread over a period of 12 months. After this period, you will complete your master's thesis within 8 months. At the beginning of each module, you will have 4 weeks for online learning. After this preparation, you will attend 3 days of interactive meetings and lectures. The study load for this part-time MOS master's program is 12-15 hours per week.

Your flexibility

The structure of the part-time MOS master's program is flexible: you can spread the program over a longer period than the specified 20 months. In addition, you can choose to only take the modules that are relevant to you. The program has several start dates per year.

Business Research Methods

Business Research Methods (BRM) is part of your Master's degree. This module will help you make better decisions in situations where a solution to a problem is not immediately obvious because you are missing some of the information.

For students doing an entire Master's program at TIAS, both BRM modules are mandatory. We recommend doing BRM I at the start of your Master's and BRM II at the start of your thesis. Talk to your Program Adviser about the best time to schedule BRM I into your personal learning path.

Result: international master's degree (MSc)

After successful completion of the entire MOS master's program, you will receive the title of Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS). This program is accredited by the NVAO (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization). You may therefore choose to use the internationally recognized MSc title.
