Biografie

Erik P.M. Vermeulen is hoogleraar Business Law aan de Tilburg Law School en hoogleraar Financial Market Regulation aan het Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC). Hij is voorzitter van de afdeling Business Law en coördinator van het masterprogramma International Business Law aan Tilburg University. Hij was TPR Professor of Law aan de Universiteit van Gent in België en gasthoogleraar aan Kyushu University in Japan. Professor Vermeulen geeft regelmatig les aan TIAS School for Business en Society en de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Hij heeft gewerkt aan projecten over ondernemingsbestuur in beursgenoteerde en niet-beursgenoteerde bedrijven en familiebedrijven. Hij heeft advieswerkzaamheden uitgevoerd in Japan, Colombia, Nederland en de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten. Ook heeft hij gewerkt aan projecten voor de Europese Commissie, het Dutch Development Finance Institution, OECD en Euronext. Professor Vermeulen is vice-president van de afdeling Corporate Legal bij Philips International b.v. en lid van het Legal Committee of the EuropeanIssuers (Brussel).
