Introduction
Some leadership moments are obvious. The hard ones are quieter. Interests collide. A conversation keeps getting postponed. A team stalls or goes silent. And you can feel an undercurrent shaping the outcome.
In moments like these, processes and procedures only take you so far. They create structure, but they do not create movement. What makes the difference is behavior, in others and in yourself, and your ability to intervene with firmness and integrity, without forcing it.
This TIAS Masterclass in Leadership brings current insights from psychology, neuroscience, and group dynamics into those exact moments, with intensive practice, your own cases, and direct feedback from both instructor and coach.
Participant profile
You have experience, and you may already have completed leadership training. You can set direction, make decisions, and explain them clearly. Yet in practice, that does not always create movement. You are looking for deeper development that helps you intervene effectively, with firmness and integrity.
This masterclass is for experienced managers and professionals who want to update and deepen their leadership at business school level. With current insights, lots of practice, and feedback that gets close to what is really happening, you develop influence skills that work in your context.
Profit or nonprofit
We offer two versions of the Masterclass in Leadership, one for for profit organizations and one for nonprofit and public sector organizations, because the dynamics, interests, and dilemmas differ. Curious about the nonprofit version? Click here for more information.

Why this program
In recent years, our understanding of human behavior has changed dramatically. Insights from psychology, neuroscience, and group dynamics show why people often do not respond to what is rationally correct, but to what they perceive intuitively. You get agreement, but not movement.
If behavior does not naturally follow from explanations and agreements, then leadership at its core is influencing behavior. In this masterclass, you build that craft with current insights, your own cases, and sharp feedback from both instructor and coach, so you can choose effectively and create movement even under pressure.
What will the program bring you?
You see more quickly what is really going on in behavior, undercurrents, and group dynamics, in others and in yourself.
You develop influence skills as a craft: observing well, asking the right questions, setting boundaries, confronting, and making decisions under pressure, with integrity.
You build a personal repertoire of interventions that fits your style and works in your context, with a direct translation to your daily practice.
You receive sharp, personal feedback from both instructor and coach on your impact and your reflexes, and leave with practical tools you can use right away.
About this program
This program combines recent scientific insights with intensive practice. You are not coming for yet another model, but to update your leadership with influence skills at its core. You work with your own cases, practice extensively in realistic situations, and receive sharp feedback from both instructor and coach. Both bring years of experience in leadership, as well as in guiding and coaching leaders.
The focus is craftsmanship in challenging situations: motivating and setting boundaries, confronting, and making decisions under pressure. You learn to choose more effectively what you do, what you do not do, and when. With firmness and integrity, without pushing. So you leave with interventions that truly make a difference in your practice.
At a high level, you will find below what you can expect each day. At the same time, this masterclass continues to evolve based on new scientific insights. And because each edition is shaped by the questions participants bring in, the emphasis may shift slightly from one cohort to the next, without changing the core.
Day 1: Leadership and behavioral influence techniques
You learn the fundamentals of behavioral influence as leadership. You sharpen your observation and practice techniques that create movement without pushing: asking questions, language and timing, and opening the conversation that keeps getting postponed.
Day 2: Leadership and motivations
This day you learn how to get others and yourself moving. You work with motivation, resistance, and disappointment, and practice motivating and setting boundaries. You receive feedback on your impact and your reflexes under pressure.
Day 3: Leadership and group dynamics
What types of teams and groups exist in an organization, and what role does the leader play in them? You learn to recognize and work with social tension and practice difficult conversations, confronting without causing harm, and making decisions when things get tense. You finish with a personal repertoire that holds up under pressure.
