Introduction

Sustainability is not a trend, but a strategic necessity. Climate change, new legislation, and societal expectations are forcing organizations to rethink their supply chains. This requires insight, decisiveness, and collaboration – across the entire chain.

In the Sustainable Supply Chain Management Master Module, you will delve into the three dimensions of sustainability: People, Planet, and Prosperity. You will work with current frameworks such as ESG, CSRD, and the Triple Bottom Line, and learn how to concretely integrate sustainability into supply chain decisions. The module covers strategic insight, circular strategies, and change management.

You will apply concepts and models directly to realistic cases and your own professional practice. Through the simulation The Triple Connection, you will experience the dilemmas of sustainable supply chain decisions and their effects on People, Planet, and Prosperity. In this way, you will not only develop knowledge but also the ability to guide sustainable change within your organization and supply chain.

About this program

Make sustainability a reality in your supply chain

In the Sustainable Supply Chain Management Master Module, you’ll delve into making supply chains more sustainable. In a world where climate change, new legislation, and social pressure are forcing organizations to rethink their supply chains, sustainability is no longer a mere requirement but a strategic choice. What you organize in your supply chain today will determine your license to operate tomorrow.

You will work with the three dimensions of sustainability – People, Planet, and Prosperity – as a guiding principle. Using frameworks such as ESG, CSRD, and the Triple Bottom Line, you will analyze how sustainability impacts supply chain decisions and explore what circular strategies look like at the product, process, and system levels. In doing so, you will explicitly examine the role of leadership, collaboration, and change management: after all, sustainable transformation requires more than just the right tools.

Your learning journey in brief

Over the course of 6 weeks, you’ll complete a compact learning journey – from the online kick-off session to the final assignment. The exact mix of learning methods varies by master’s module, but you can generally expect the following:

Online kick-off session – You’ll meet the instructors and fellow participants and receive an explanation of the program’s structure and the final assignment.

Three consecutive on-campus days – During three intensive days on campus, you’ll delve deeper into the theory, work on case studies and assignments, and exchange experiences with other professionals in varied, engaging sessions.

Further study between sessions – Between the on-campus sessions, you will continue to work independently with course materials and assignments and apply your insights to your own case study.

Assessment based on your own practice – You will conclude the master module with a graded assignment that directly relates to your work environment and learning objectives.

Microcredential & Stackability

Upon completion, you will receive a TIAS certificate with a digital badge (microcredential, 4 ECTS). The earned ECTS are stackable within the NVAO-accredited Executive Master of Operations and Supply Chain Management (MOS).
