Participant profile
The one-year TIAS MBA brings together around 40 participants from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. The class represents more than 15 nationalities on average, with approximately 90% of participants coming from outside the Netherlands.
Participants are on average 31 years old and bring around 8 years of work experience. The small, international classroom creates space for personal attention, close collaboration and meaningful discussion about business and its role in society.

The Personal and Career Development Program (PCDP)
The Personal and Career Development Program (PCDP) is part of the MBA. It will help you understand better who you are and what you are capable of, so that you can establish and work towards your ultimate career goal. We do this by providing individual coaching sessions, workshops on personal skills (e.g. presentation, intercultural and team dynamics, personal branding, negotiation and communication) as well as practical skills for searching and applying for a job. Each individual student is assigned a personal coach and a career consultant, and the career consultant is available for free career advice up to 3 years after graduation. In addition, we organize Career Days, multiple alumni events, company visits, and other networking opportunities to connect students directly with potential employers.
Course outline
The 1-year TIAS Full-time MBA program combines core management courses with a focus on business and society. Across five blocks, you develop your knowledge, explore specialist topics and apply your learning in practical projects. The Personal and Career Development Program (PCDP) runs alongside the academic program.
Summer preparation: Online Pre-Masters
Online Preparatory Courses in the summer of 2027 help you prepare for the MBA before the program begins.
Block 1: Business Fundamentals I - (September-October 2027)
The program starts with the foundations of business and its role in society. You explore sustainable business models and develop analytical and academic skills needed to succeed in your MBA. The AI class approaches artificial intelligence not as a technical subject, but as a leadership, strategy, and governance challenge. The emphasis is on managerial discernment: helping future leaders distinguish real value from noise, useful automation from dangerous delegation, and strategic AI deployment from “AI for AI’s sake.”
Courses: Business & Society | Managing Sustainable Business Models | Leading in the AI Era | Analytical Skills | Academic Skills. Also included: Introduction to Dutch Language, integrated into PCDP.
Block 2: Business Fundamentals II - (November-December 2027)
Block 2 builds on these foundations through marketing and economics. You examine how businesses understand their markets and how economic conditions influence business decisions. Academic Writing strengthens your ability to communicate ideas and arguments clearly.
Courses: Marketing Management | Academic Writing | Economics for Business – Microeconomics | Economics for Business – Macroeconomics.
Block 3: Positioning for Long Term Value - (January-March 2028)
The focus shifts to the long-term direction of businesses. You connect strategy with financial management, operations and supply chains, while exploring sustainability reporting and the European business environment. A Brussels trip brings the European context into focus.
Courses: CSRD | Strategy Formulation | Business & Society in EU Context (including a study trip to Brussels | Operations & Supply Chain Management | Financial Management.
Block 4: Business in Context - (April-May 2028)
Block 4 explores how businesses respond to opportunities and challenges in different markets. Electives deepen your understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship and international finance, while a dedicated course examines the complexities of operating in emerging markets.
Course: Navigating Complexity in Emerging Markets.
Electives: Sustainability Innovation | International Financial Management | New Product and Service Development| Driving Change through Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Block 5: Team Business Project & Study Trip II - (June-August 2028)
This is your opportunity to put your MBA learning into practice through project work. A Problem Solving Workshop supports the Team Business Project, while Managerial Accounting & Control strengthens your understanding of business performance. A European study trip adds an international perspective.

End result: MBA Degree
Upon successful completion, you will receive the degree title Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a Triple Crown accredited business school.
