Participant profile
The one-year TIAS MBA brings together around 40 participants from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. The class represents more than 15 nationalities on average, with approximately 90% of participants coming from outside the Netherlands.
Participants are on average 31 years old and bring around 8 years of work experience. The small, international classroom creates space for personal attention, close collaboration and meaningful discussion about business and its role in society.

Full-time Master in Business Administration program design:
- Online Preparatory Courses
Our online preparation modules give you the opportunity to prepare for your on-campus journey over the summer and get used to your new life as an MBA student. - Block I – Business Fundamentals I
The program starts with the Fundamentals of Business. You will gain business knowledge, learn to speak the language of business and gain understanding of all the core disciplines in business. In line with the TIAS mission, you will be exposed to the TIAS Business & Society Competency Framework and explore the challenges that business and society face in such areas as circular economy, governance, systems change and complexity. Accompanying courses on Academic Skills and Quantitative Methods complement these core courses and allow you to train additional skills that are key to be successful in the program and in your career. - Block 2 – Business Fundamentals II
Block 2 continues with fundamentals in Business. This includes courses on Marketing, Finance, and Diversity and Organizational Behavior. In addition, it is crucial to understand the economic environment in which businesses operate and its position in the supply chain. Finally, in this block an Introduction to Dutch Language supports you in finding your way in Dutch society. Welkom in Nederland! - Block 3 – Positioning for long-term value
After the first two blocks, the emphasis shifts to the long term direction of firms and the broader environment in which firms operate. What challenges do companies face at the intersection of business and society? And how can firms prepare for these by being innovative, entrepreneurial and by setting long term direction? These questions will be central in the second part of your program. - Block 4 – Business in context
In Block 4, the emphasis is on the broader context in which business operates. In previous blocks, you have become familiar with societal challenges and with the economic environment of business. Block 4 builds on this with further insights into the challenges that lie at the intersection of business, government and society. How can firms contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? What specific challenges exist in various parts of the world? What role does European policy play? These questions will be central in this part of your program. Block 5 – Generating impact in practice: Real-life consultancy project
This is your chance to bring your learnings to practice. In your team, you will be assigned to a client from the TIAS network. In a period of two months, you will work on solutions to a real-life problem that the client has. Guided by a TIAS professor, your team will use MBA knowledge, collect data and apply your analytical skills to design recommendations and present them to the client.

End result: MBA Degree
Upon successful completion, you will receive the degree title Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a Triple Crown accredited business school.
