TIAS is ready for the future with a new sustainable location and excellent growth possibilities and facilities. The business school will proudly open its doors on Monday, April 10 in a refurbished TIAS building at Kroonstraat 50, Utrecht.
'With this new location, we will be able to take the next steps in realizing our ambitions,” says dean and director Kees Koedijk of TIAS. “The new TIAS building offers room for growth, for now and in the future. This will help us bring business and society to the whole of the Netherlands.'
'We opted for these premises due to the building's structure. That makes it possible to create large lecture theaters. It is also a perfect inner city location in the vicinity of public transport, multilevel car parks and all sorts of facilities such as catering and shops,' says Kees Koedijk.
With five lecture theaters, seven breakout rooms and one scrum area, the new TIAS building is a modern educational location. The theaters and the breakout rooms offer the flexibility of doing group work as well as giving lectures. State of the art audio and video has been installed, so that participants can work interactively. The location has also been sustainably furnished. Kees Koedijk: ‘Practice what you preach. Together with the lessor, we have converted an old office building into modern educational facilities. The building has received energy label A, the furniture can be recycled and it is near a public transport hub.' Economic success and social progress go hand in hand, exactly suited to TIAS School for Business and Society.
With this move, TIAS will take leave of the old premises at the Kromme Nieuwegracht in the same city.
