The part-time Master of Business Valuation (MBV) of TIAS is a complete and flexible program with a broad approach to business valuation. You will be immersed in the financial markets, business and tax legislation, venture capital financing, IPOs of companies, the valuation of non-listed and listed companies and the use of real options in valuation. To do this properly, as a professional business valuator you need to have in-depth knowledge of the valuation tools and a clear view on the future of the company.

During the part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation, you will take on both the theoretical and practical challenges of business valuation. You can apply your new knowledge and skills directly in your daily work. As a Register Valuator you become an indispensable business partner for your senior management and you make a substantial contribution to sound and sustainable economic decision-making.

You master the various methods and techniques for economic valuation and know in which situations you have to apply them.

You write a valuation report, based on a case study from daily practice.

About this program

The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation (MBV) consists of seperate modules. These are spread over a period of 15 months. At the beginning of each module you will have 4 weeks to learn online. After this preparation, you will follow interactive meetings and lectures for 3 days. 

The Executive Master of Business Valuation consists of the following modules:

  • Principles of Business Valuation
  • Business Research Methods
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • International Risk Management
    Advanced Valuation
  • Valuing Private Companies, part 1
  • Valuing Private Companies, part 2
    Corporate Finance
  • Elective: Financial Data Analytics / Behavioral Finance / Management Accounting / Real Estate Finance
  • Tax and Corporate Law

You conclude the program by writing a Valuation Report, based on a real-life case. This report includes an Academic Chapter.

After successful completion of this master's program, you can choose between the prestigious title of Master of Business Valuation (MBV) or the internationally recognized academic title of Master of Science (MSc). The program is accredited by the NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders).

The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation is also accredited by the Netherlands Institute for Registered Valuators (NIRV). In order to use the title of Register Valuator (RV), you must complete the program, successfully defend your Valuation Report, and complete the NIRV assessment.

Executive Master of Business Valuation

€38,500 for the entire master (exempt from VAT)

These prices include:

  • Day packages (lunch, coffee/tea and soft drinks) during college days
  • Registration and administration costs
  • Access to the online learning environment
  • Mandatory literature, textbooks and teaching materials

Possible additional costs:

  • Dinners and overnight stays
  • Premaster (modules), if necessary (€ 400 - € 1600)**
  • Software licenses (if specific software is required)

** During your application, the Admissions and Assessment Committee will determine which premaster modules are required.

Already a Master in Finance?

Have you already completed our MiF master’s program? Then you can follow an accelerated MBV track. In this route, you will complete 3 modules and write your MBV thesis. The cost for this track is €11,000.
