In this short video lecture (in Dutch), Professor Marc Vermeulen (educational sociology) criticizes various policy initiatives aimed at streamlining the education system further.

Continuous learning lines, cordial transfers, macro-efficiency: these are all meaningful ideas, but they also have a dark side. Vermeulen's core argument is that too much streamlining is counterproductive in a world that needs individual playing room and profiling.
