On January 1, Theo Poiesz took up his position as director/professor at the Provincial Health Council of Brabant. Poiesz is Professor of Economic Psychology and Professor in Health Care Management at TIAS School for Business and Society.
He works one day a week for the Provincial Health Council as a content figurehead promoting strategic contacts alongside chairman Frank Petter. Poiesz succeeds Mariet Paes in this function.
Previously he worked as a part-time Professor of Advertising Psychology and a part-time Professor of Marketing. He has also been a researcher and (guest) lecturer at several universities at home and abroad. Theo Poiesz has written eight books, contributed to dozens of books and has published over a hundred scientific and professional articles.
His interests are extensive and cover topics such as strategy, marketing, customer orientation, and behavior management. Within these topics he tries to reduce complex issues to a manageable size and structure. He also explores how insights from both theory and practice can be combined. He regularly acts as a consultant, coach, and speaker. He was chairman of the Supervisory Board of GGZ (mental health care) Breburg from 2003 to 2012.
