The Dutch real estate sector is slowly recovering after dealing with numerous fraud cases during the past couple of years.

Prof. Dr. Dirk Brounen explains in the professional journal Vastgoedmarkt (Real Estate Market) that the sector needs to find a "positive outlook" again. "I blame the sector for its slow response to the crisis.  We were angry and nervous, just waiting for the storm to blow over; we resisted change and now we're not able to adapt to the changes that are taking place."
