On September 12, 2013 Telenet’s membership of the 2013 Dow Jones Sustainability Europe and World Indices was announced, which is the third consecutive year the company received that honor. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) recognize the leading companies in each industry sector for responsible economic, environmental and social performance.

Telenet was named best-in-class in the worldwide media sector for the second consecutive time. Telenet is a publicly listed company and the leading cable service provider in Belgium. It specializes in the supply of broadband internet, fixed and mobile telephony services and cable television to customers in Belgium over a hybrid fibre coax network. Telenet has prepared its annual report in accordance with the guidelines for sustainability reporting of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Communication on Progress (COP).

In this interview, Philip Joos (TIAS School for Business and Society/Tilburg University) discusses corporate responsibility practice and challenges with Jan De Grave (Vice President Sustainability at Telenet).
