TIAS School for Business and Society once again scores highly in the Nationale Studenten Enquête (NSE - National Student Survey) 2026. Overall satisfaction with the programs has risen this year to 4.24 on a scale of 5, compared to 4.12 in 2025. This marks a clear step forward for TIAS and places its score well above the national benchmark of 3.93.
The results also show a positive picture in other areas. The atmosphere within the programs is rated 4.48. In addition, the connection with professional practice is assessed positively, with a score of 4.09. The practical knowledge of faculty particularly stands out: the statement “Faculty have extensive knowledge of professional practice” receives a score of 4.45.
Participants also recognize these strengths in their own experience. They point, among other things, to the clear structure, the involvement of Program Managers, the quality of the faculty and the applicability of the education. One participant writes: “I have followed many programs, but this is the most professional and intellectually challenging program, adding great value to my knowledge and career.” Another describes the program as “very strong in terms of content” and appreciates that it aligns well with the sector.
Positive development in guidance and study feasibility
In addition to the high overall rating, the NSE 2026 also shows improvement in areas that are important to participants’ learning experience. For example, the quality of guidance increased from 4.08 in 2025 to 4.25 in 2026. The study feasibility of the programs also developed positively, rising from 3.93 to 4.14.
“The increase in the NSE results is a wonderful confirmation of the attention we pay to the quality of our programs and the personal learning experience of our participants,” says Jenke ter Horst, Dean and Director at TIAS. “The fact that participants rate the atmosphere, faculty expertise and connection with professional practice so highly closely reflects what TIAS stands for: education that combines academic depth with professional and societal impact.”
About the National Student Survey
The NSE is the nationwide survey in which students share their opinions about their program. The NSE gives prospective students insight into how students experience their program and provides educational institutions with information to further improve their education. In 2026, the survey was completed nationwide by 248,000 students.
