How relevant is a company’s ESG performance today for its legitimacy and financial performance?

Marieke Mulder
Head of ESG Sustainability, ASML
As Head of ESG Sustainability at ASML, Marieke has led the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy since 2021, embedding sustainable business practices throughout the global semiconductor manufacturer. Originally trained as a lawyer, she joined ASML in 2013 as Legal Counsel and has held senior roles in legal, supply strategy, and executive support before transitioning to sustainability leadership. Under her direction, ASML has expanded its ESG Sustainability team significantly and integrated sustainability into core business decision-making, earning recognition among global sustainability leaders.
