On 17 September 2026, TIAS and Future Up invite you to our joint Alumni Afternoon in Utrecht. We are already witnessing AI make a positive impact in three key areas: energy efficiency, the circular economy, and climate protection. By leveraging advanced data analytics and AI models, organizations can make better-informed environmental and business decisions.

However, alongside these benefits come significant challenges. Developing and training complex AI models demands immense computing power, leading to high energy consumption. Additionally, there is an urgent need for clear regulatory frameworks and ethical guidelines to ensure AI is deployed responsibly.

What to expect?

During this alumni afternoon, two leading experts in the field (to be announced soon) will share deeper insights into this pressing topic. We will explore both the opportunities and the risks that AI introduces to the sustainability transition.

After the main program, you will have plenty of time to catch up and network with your former classmates and fellow alumni over drinks.
