Keynote Speaker: Wilma de Bruijn
With nearly four decades of leadership experience in the international insurance and financial services sector, Wilma de Bruijn brings a powerful and authentic perspective on leadership, resilience, and growth.
Having served as General Manager of Eurapco (2014–2024), she strengthened collaboration across European insurance mutuals and significantly expanded the alliance through innovation, learning initiatives, and new member growth. Previously, as Managing Director of the Achmea Academy, she delivered financial-services expertise and development programs to approximately 15,000 employees across Europe.
Her keynote centers on the theme:
Dare to go beyond. Never give up. Work from your own inner strength.
An inspiring message for MBA students and alumni who aspire to lead with impact while staying true to themselves.
Next Chapter: Alumni Stories
During this interactive session, members of our MBA community share their career journeys, key decisions, and lessons learned. The session is hosted by Roemer Visser, Academic Director of the EMBA program and host of the TIAS podcast Rethinking Leadership.
The program features two rounds, each offering a different perspective: experienced alumni, and current students and recent graduates. Together, they provide a broad and candid view on life before, during, and after the MBA.
Participants are encouraged to actively contribute to the discussion, making this a dynamic exchange of insights and experiences.
We are pleased to announce our confirmed panelists: Davide Iannuzzi (EMBA, 2015), Amit Srivatsa Gorti (MBA, 2024), and Alyssa (MBA, 2023). Additional panelists will be announced soon.

Alyssa
Alyssa (MBA 2023) is a commercial professional who believes that a career is best built through curiosity and the courage to try new things. With 9 years of experience in sales and business development, she has successfully driven significant revenue growth and expanded business portfolios across various sales channels. Her career has been defined by a willingness to embrace change by successfully moving between different countries, cultures, and industries.
After working with global insurance leaders in the Philippines, Alyssa moved to the Netherlands in 2022 to pursue her MBA. Since then, she has embraced the challenge of reinventing her professional path, transitioning from Insurance into EdTech with Studyportals, and most recently into the global events sector with Informa Markets. For Alyssa, building a life in the Netherlands has been more than just a career change; it has been a process of true integration, from navigating a new corporate culture to becoming proficient in the Dutch language.
Outside of work, Alyssa is a firm believer in the value of community and helping others grow. As a former Toastmasters club President and a two-time champion in the ‘Tall Tales’ speaking competitions, she found her greatest fulfilment in using stories to connect with others and helping people build the confidence to tell their own stories.
Expand your network
The evening concludes with a walking dinner, providing ample opportunity to reconnect with classmates and expand your professional network.
Curious about last year’s event? Take a look here!
On Friday, June 20, 2025, the annual MBA Mid-Year Event took place at Crowne Plaza Utrecht. An evening filled with inspiration, reconnection, and strategic insight. With MBA and EMBA students and alumni from across the globe, the power of the TIAS MBA Community was clearly felt.
The event kicked off with an exclusive alumni session by Filip Caeldries on Strategic Agility. This was followed by an engaging keynote by Jacques van den Broek, former CEO of Randstad, who shared his leadership journey and thoughts on building a sustainable, inclusive organization in times of change.
Over a three-course dinner, conversations flowed, memories were shared, and new connections were made. A strong reminder of what binds TIAS: lifelong learning and growing together.
