Details and program
The program features four speakers - two alumni and two lecturers from the current curriculum - representing Gartner, ASML, Rijk Zwaan and Promaton. Together, they will highlight how the field of digital technology and our program have evolved, and what has remained essential throughout the decades.
There will be plenty of time to reconnect with classmates, meet the speakers, and speak with Piet Ribbers, who founded MIMDT in 1986 and remains actively involved today. The atmosphere will be informal, with lunch and drinks included. Excited to join? Register now to secure your spot and forward this invitation to your former classmates.

How CIOs Can Take a Blended Approach to Implement Enterprise Governance of AI
As organizations evolve from pilots to operationalize AI, governance will become crucial to success. The criticality, scalability, and democratization of AI necessitate governance to strike a balance between the value of AI and the new risks it poses. AI encompasses a continually evolving technological landscape, where trade-offs exist between scale, performance, explainability, accessibility, speed, skills, and cost. To get it right, CIOs and executives must blend governance approaches across the enterprise to align information technology, risk, and data impacts.

The Economics of AI in Agriculture; Hurdles to competitive differentiation
AI is reshaping the development of new vegetable varieties, from digital phenotyping and smarter marker selection to breakthroughs like Google Deepmind AlphaFold (based on the Nobel prize winning research in chemistry), which accelerates our understanding of plant biology by predicting protein structures. These technologies transform how new vegetable varieties are created, and how fast and precisely innovation can happen. But they also introduce new strategic challenges. As powerful AI tools become widely accessible, it becomes harder for breeding companies to maintain true differentiation. Access to models, data, computing power, and organizational scale increasingly determines who can accelerate, and who risks falling behind.

An insight in Less is Moore Product Development at ASML
In 2020, BBC News called ASML "a relatively obscure Dutch company" in the semiconductor industry. We sometimes say at ASML that we make Moore’s law possible: doubling the number of transistors on an integrated circuit approximately every two years. There is never a dull moment at ASML. We develop our products on the verge of what is possible: super-precise, quick, reliable, etc. and that with the eyes of the world on us, also your eyes (without you realizing that probably…). How we do this is an interesting mixture of well-known theory (agile, project and portfolio management) and practice, of course with a glimpse of AI.
