Admission

TIAS applies the admission requirements set by the Netherlands Association of Registered Controllers (the “VRC”). This means that participants must have:

  • An academic Master’s degree by the time the program starts
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Successful completion of the following nine courses as part of the student’s prior studies: Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Strategy & Organization, Bookkeeping, Accounting Information Systems (Internal Control), Tax Law and Corporate Law.

TIAS determines whether you meet the admissions requirements in an intake interview (free of obligations) with the Academic Director. If not all prior education requirements are met, TIAS can offer various solutions.

Admission with a Bachelor’s degree is not possible, due to VRC requirements. The VRC guidelines offer limited options for participants who completed an adequate higher professional (“HBO”) Master or a post-Bachelor controller program after a higher professional Bachelor.
