Mijntje Lückerath, professor of Corporate Governance at TIAS School for Business and Society talks to Marcel Smits CFO of Cargill and former CFO at KPN and Sara Lee, on the two most important questions for a supervisory board: is it an effective supervisory board? And how do we assess this? According to Smits, a supervisory board should obtain 50% of its information from sources other than its directors.

Smits also mentions several major differences between the US and the Netherlands in terms of corporate governance.

This is an edition by MJ Expert, a video version on Mejudice.nl. Specialist knowledge related to a specific topic is discussed by two experts.
