About the Inspiration Session
You may have heard this story: Two fish swimming in a lake pass a third fish. This fish greets them, saying, “Good morning! How is the water today?” and continues onwards. Puzzled, one of the two fish turns to the other, and asks, “Water? What’s water?”
Language is to us what water is to the fish. We are swimming in it without realizing it, and could not do without it. There is a strong philosophical tradition that explores this phenomenon, but somehow these insights have not made their way into the realm of leadership and leadership development.
This session will take a very practical approach to exploring the role of language in leadership. You will leave the session with a renewed appreciation for the creative power of language.
