Wouter is one of the founding partners of Steward Redqueen, a boutique consultancy with the mission “making business work for society’. He has a strong track record in the field of sustainability, impact management, responsible investment, corporate governance, corporate communications and banking.
Ever since starting his consultancy business in 2002 he is a (board) advisor on sustainability strategy and has worked for many multinational corporations and non-profits in Europe as well as in other geographies.
Wouter publishes on a regular basis in newspapers and magazines including The Financial Times and Het Financieele Dagblad. He has contributed to several books on sustainability, management and compliance. In 2017 his book ‘sustainability in the boardroom’ was published (in Dutch)
Before his consulting career Wouter worked for ABN AMRO Bank. He was assistant to the CEO and dept secretary to the managing board, SVP responsible for Brand & Reputation Management and he had various responsibilities in the Dutch branch network.
Wouter studied law at Tilburg University (graduated in 1989). His education also includes Post graduate Master of Management and Organisation TIAS Business School (1998), Post graduate Master in Corporate Communication (Erasmus University/ RSM 2001) and the Management course for Non-Executive Board members (Erasmus University 2015)
