The seminar, Lean Basics, is meant for people who recognize that their organization needs to work differently to improve its performance and effectivity. We will first look at the five main reasons why organisations have problems performing. From there we’ll explore Lean thinking. The basics will be explained using the Lean-House metaphor. It consists of five main elements: purpose (underground), value (roof), value stream (fundament), timeliness & quality (pillars), and behaviour (core). Theory will be enriched with practical examples and supported with exercises.
At the end of the seminar participants can identify the 5 main causes of failure in an organization; understand what lean is (and what it isn’t); as well as to have insights in the 5 main elements of the lean-house and how they relate to each other.
