Why this program

With the English-taught full-time Master in Management, you will develop into an international management and business professional within a year – even without a Bachelor's or Master's degree in management.

The program offers you a solid, up-to-date academic foundation and challenges you on a personal level to further develop soft skills, such as a critical and curious attitude and collaboration in an (international) environment.

Find the right job with our Personal and Career Development Program (PCDP)

The Personal and Career Development Program (PCDP) is part of the master program. It will help you understand better who you are and what you are capable of, so that you can establish and work towards your ultimate career goal. We do this by providing individual coaching sessions, workshops on personal skills (e.g. presentation, intercultural and team dynamics, personal branding, negotiation and communication) as well as practical skills for searching and applying for a job. Each individual student is assigned a personal coach and a career consultant, and the career consultant is available for free career advice up to 3 years after graduation. In addition, we organize our Career Day, multiple alumni events, company visits, and other networking opportunities to connect students directly with potential employers.

What will the program bring you?

Prepare for an international career: the TIAS Full-time MScBA is top-ranked for international careers, Nr. 1 in the Netherlands & Nr. 26 worldwide for international work mobility according to the Financial Times (2025).

Studying in the Netherlands

When coming from abroad, you might be wondering: is the Netherlands the right country for me to study? Did you know that the Netherlands has one of the strongest economies in the world? Quite an achievement for such a small country! You will feel at home in a country where 95% of the people speak English and that is home to students from over 160 countries. The country has one of the largest numbers of English-taught university courses in continental Europe, making studying in the Netherlands a highly recommended choice for expats.

More facts and figures about the Dutch economy and living in the Netherlands:

  • The Netherlands ranks 9th in the IMD 2024 World Competitiveness ranking
  • The Netherlands ranks 8th in the 2024 Global Innovation Index
  • The unemployment rate in the Netherlands is very low at 3.7%
  • The Netherlands is well-known for a very good work-life balance
  • The Netherlands is the 6th happiest country in the world! (2024)

The Utrecht Campus

Our full-time Master in Management takes place at our campus in Utrecht, the lively center of the Netherlands. Utrecht’s hundreds of monuments impart a very special ambience to this centuries-old city. Over 25 percent of the Netherlands’ 330,000 students can be found in Utrecht, making for one of the country’s largest student populations. Utrecht is centrally located and a perfect base for the exploration of European culture and other (neighboring) countries.

The Netherlands is justifiably famous for its tolerance of diverse cultures, opinions and lifestyles. This attitude and a proud history in trade and banking have combined to make English a second language, spoken widely and well. Many large multinationals have established headquarters in this flourishing corporate culture. Additionally, the Netherlands has an excellent public transport system.

What else does TIAS offer?

Internship
On completion of their Master’s thesis, full-time students are offered the opportunity to do an internship in order to gain work experience in their field. You are responsible for the arrangement of your own internship, but our Career Development team is available to provide support. Of course, you may also find a job right away.

Exchange programs
During the TIAS program you will gain a feel for international corporate environments, both on campus in Utrecht and during your study trip abroad. You can choose to expand your intercultural business experience even further by participating in one of our exchange programs at partner institutions. These exchange programs are intended to broaden your international experience; not to gain additional credits. Our partner institutions are located in some of the most dynamic economic regions worldwide and will leave an indelible mark on your resume.

Student Associations

During the Master in Management program you have the opportunity to join a student association for extracurricular activities that provide you with additional professional experience as well as fun with your fellow students. The student associations at TIAS are:

  • TIAS Student Consultancy (TSC): The TIAS Student Consultancy (TSC) is a student-led consulting organization that provides pro bono consulting services to organizations seeking innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • TIAS Student Board (TSB): The TIAS Student Board (TSB) is a student-led group of representatives dedicated to enhancing the student experience throughout the MBA and MScBA programs.
