Flexibility

The set-up of the part-time Master of Business Valuation (MBV) is flexible: you can complete the program over a longer period than the indicated 15 months. Also, you can choose to follow only the modules that are relevant to you. The program commences twice a year.

 

InCompany program for organizations

TIAS Business and Society also provides InCompany training for organizations. Based on the latest scientific insights, TIAS draws up a practically applicable program that is fully tailored to the ambitions and development issues of the organization. Business Valuation Program

Besides the Executive Master of Business Valuation, TIAS also offers theBusiness Valuation Program. The Business Valuation Program contains 7 of the 11 modules, which suffice to obtain the title Register Valuator. The emphasis is on valuation practice, especially to determine the value of listed companies. This means that you do not have to follow the modules Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring, Advanced Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Finance. You may also omit the Academic Chapter in your Valuation Report.

Part-time Master of Business valuation in brief

The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation (MBV) consists of 11 modules. These are spread over a period of 15 months. At the beginning of each module you will have 4 weeks to learn online. After this preparation, you will follow interactive meetings and lectures for 3 days. 

Instead of the Master of Business Valuation (MBV) you can also choose the Business Valuation Program (BVP). You then follow 7 modules of the Master of Business Valuation. This program is also accredited by the NIRV and offers the possibility to apply for the title of Register Valuator.

Set-up part-time master’s program MBV

The Executive Master of Business Valuation consists of the following 10 modules:

  1. Principles of Business Valuation
  2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
  3. Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring
  4. Quantitative Tools for Financial Management
  5. Advanced Corporate Finance
  6. International Risk Management
  7. Strategy & Innovation
  8. Entrepreneurial Finance
  9. Valuing Private Companies; Fiscal & Private Law
  10. Valuing Private Companies 1
  11. Valuing Private Companies 2

You conclude the program by writing a Valuation Report, based on a real-life case. This report includes an Academic Chapter.

Result: master title (MSc or MBV) and Register Valuator (RV)

After successful completion of this master's program, you can choose between the prestigious title of Master of Business Valuation (MBV) or the internationally recognized academic title of Master of Science (MSc). The program is accredited by the NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders).

The part-time Executive Master of Business Valuation is also accredited by the Netherlands Institute for Registered Valuators (NIRV). In order to use the title of Register Valuator (RV), you must complete the program, successfully defend your Valuation Report, and complete the NIRV assessment.

Admission requirements

We aim for participants with a lot of talent, experience and potential. That is why we apply admission requirements. In this way, we guarantee education at the highest level. What we ask:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least five years' professional experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in valuing public and private companies or investment projects
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language

 

Premaster 

Successful completion of the premaster can be a requirement for starting the program. In this way, we ensure that the level of all participants is consistent with each other. This means that you will ultimately benefit from the collaboration with a motivated group of talented participants from the field of business valuation. Participants of the part-time master's program MBV are exempt from the premaster's module Accounting & Finance. View the modules of the premaster.

Tuition fee Executive Master of Business Valuation

The total fee of the Executive Master in Finance amounts to € 31,500. This tuition fee includes the obligatory literature, day arrangements (lunch, coffee/tea and soft drinks) and access to the Virtual Campus. It does not include dinners, hotel accommodation and software licenses. It also does not include the premaster program. This program is exempt from VAT.

 

Individual modules

It is also possible to opt for individual modules of the program in a modular package.

The modular packages are centered on specific themes within the part-time Executive Master in Finance (MIF):

  • Foundations of Finance (3 modules) € 10,500
  • Financial Management (4 modules) € 12,000
  • Valuation (4 modules) € 11,250

 

Business Valuation Program

Besides the Master of Business Valuation (MBV), TIAS also offers the certificate for the Business Valuation Program. You then follow 7 of the 11 modules and write a Valuation Report without an Academic Chapter. The costs for this are € 22,500.

 

Have you already obtained a Master in Finance?

Then you are eligible for a shortened MBV master program. This program consists of 3 modules and a Valuation Report, including an Academic Chapter. The fee for this program is € 10,500.

 

Funding options

In order to finance this program, you can make use of the personal deduction or the tax deduction for study costs. In this way, the tax authorities will pay for part of your master. You can also make use of Geldshop's Responsible Study Plan or the Life Long Learning Credit via DUO. See also the publication with examples.
