Elisabeth Brüggen is Associate Professor of Marketing at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE). Dr. Brüggen's PhD studied the Effectiveness of Internet-Based Marketing Research and her focus continues to be services marketing. She is an internationally recognized expert in consumer financial decision-making, particularly regarding pension communications. As such, Dr. Brüggen has been invited to speak on these topics at academic conferences throughout the world. She is also an internationally recognized expert on pension communication in the public arena where she presents her work to board members of large pension providers or shares her insights through the public press such as the Financieele Dagblad, or BNR newsradio. She has received several awards, including the Emerging Scholar Award from the American Marketing Association and NWO and Netspar Grants for research on pension communication and improving retirement readiness. Dr. Brüggen combines her passion for teaching with research and publications, including articles in leading journals such as the Journal of Marketing.
